International Homoeopathic Conference – 2017

A three day International Homoeopathic Conference was organized by Karnataka Qualified Homoeopathic Doctor’s Association(KQHDA). For the first time in Bengaluru, an International Homoeopathic conference was organized. It was held on 8th, 9th and 10th of September at NIMHANS Convention Center, Bengaluru.

The inauguration was held today at 9.30 am. Dr Praveen Kumar, Vice Chairman of the conference welcomed all the dignitaries and the delegates. Chairman of the conference Prof. Dr B D Patel expressed the need for all the diverse schools of Homoeopathy to work towards common goal, which is ‘to serve humanity’. He stressed people to make homoeopathy as a first choice of treatment rather than last resort. It will not only prevent diseases from progressing and also to help build the immunity. He also said Homoeopathy should be encouraged by Government to spread its reach to the far off places and said mainstream medicine should accept homoeopathy as a science and refer patients.

The conference was inaugurated by Shri K R Ramesh Kumar, Minister for Health and Family welfare, Government of Karnataka. He agreed to opening up of Ayush Clinics including homoeopathic centres in as many as 176 taluks. He also said,Homoeopahthy should be a system of practice rather than becoming corporate clinics.

Chief Guest of the Inaugural function, Shri Shripad Yesso Naik Ji, Hon. Minister of Ayush, Govt. of India said, Govt of India is doing a lot to regularize the research in various departments of Homoeopathy and encourage new researchers to make India the leader in Research arena of Homoeopathy.

Dr.AnurudhVerma, Member, Central Council of Homoeopathy opined that the stipend for internees should be extended to private college students also as they are serving the people. He stressed on having more number of dispensaries. He requested that 10th April to be announced as ‘world homoeopathy day which happens to be Dr. Hahnemann’s Birthday. He also proposed that the participation of Homoeopathic Doctors in national health programmes should be included.

Dr.Rajkumar Ji Manchanda, Director General, Central Council of Research in Homoeoopathy did the inauguration of the Scientific session. He explained the entire method, scope and opportunities in the field of Research and encouraged all Homoeopaths to take up research projects and promised to extend support from CCRH.

Many great contributors to the field of Homoeopathy were awarded in the conference. Dr. B. S. MOHAN, Consultant Homoeopathic Physician, practicing at Amalapuram and also Director, Institute of Practicing Homoeopathy (IPH), an academic voluntary organisation founded to promote high standards in Homoeopathic clinic practice, was specially awarded in the category.
